$3.5 Million Business Intelligence Contract with MRQ 

The IT Solutions for Enterprises Directorate (Direction des solutions informatiques pour les entreprises) of Quebec's Ministry of Revenue (MRQ) awarded DMR a contract to upgrade its information environment. The environment uses business intelligence tools to integrate data from various government ministries and bodies to help in the fight against tax evasion.

DMR's role? Support the MRQ as it works on the architecture, development and upgrading of business intelligence tools in order to:

• enhance data quality;
• increase information sources;
• upgrade the Wealth Index and Ministerial Statistics systems for taxpayers and agents.

It should be recalled that DMR has been working on the MRQ's information environment for several years now. We actually implemented the data processing center for that environment in 2000 and helped develop the Wealth Index system, which incidentally allowed the MRQ to win two OCTAS awards in 2008; one in the 1,000 Employees and Plus Technology Innovation (Innovation technologique 1000 employés et plus) category, and one in the Excellence in Technology (Excellence dans le domaine des technologies) category.

This strategic win reaffirms DMR's position as a leader in the business intelligence sector and its status as a partner of choice for the MRQ.
